GET INVOLVED! Special Members Events at Chicago Street Theatre MEMBERS SALON – First Monday of every month . . . What would you attempt artistically, if there were no boundaries? How many times have you wondered what it would be like to practice outside of rehearsals and without the pressures of production? Are there roles you would have taken more risks with, if you had time to explore? Are you someone who has always wanted to act, direct, or write, but didn’t know where to begin and felt silly attempting it? The doors of the newly-created MEMBERS SALON at Chicago Street Theatre are going to open and when they do, we invite you to unlock your creativity and join our passionate commitment. Most of us come to the theatre out of passion. Although there is personal fulfillment, often times, we’re too focused on the outcome to truly experience the process or, we’re too intimidated to discover what the process is – how do we get better at what we are comfortable doing or how do we attempt what we don’t know “how” to do? The MEMBERS SALON is created to provide an arena where artists from all backgrounds and experience gather monthly to celebrate craft and support process. If you are a veteran, it is the place to challenge your comfort zone and elasticize your boundaries. If you are a novice, it is the place to gain experience and discover your abilities. If you are an avid arts supporter, it is the place to garner insight. All who participate will walk away having learned something. TEA HOUSE READINGS – Dates TBA One Sunday a month will be dedicated to reading and discussion of a literary work. Pieces will be chosen based on the upcoming season. All who gather will have the opportunity to read the play and discuss the content, meaning, themes, and ideas within the play. THURSDAY TALKS – Discussions with Cast and Director about process and discoveries while working on the play.
